The Role: Intern - Equity Markets - Beijing
The Location: Beijing, China
The Team: The IMPG team is responsible for the maintenance and calculation of S&P Dow Jones Indices.
Time: 9:00 am – 18:00 pm (3 – 6 Months)
Pay: 180 RMB / Day
Start time: ASAP (can be flexible)
Main Responsibilities:
· Research and Analysis on Market Driven Events
· Consult a variety of sources including but not limited to: Reuters, IDC, S&P Capital IQ, Factset, Company IR websites, Stock Exchanges, etc.
· Analysis companies’ annual reports towards information market management need.
Communication Responsibilities:
· Proactively communicate any major issues to the rest of the Team and Team Leader.
· Good verbal and written communications skills are required to communicate.
What we’re looking for:
· Second language (except English / Mandarin), although not essential, will be an advantage.
· Student Status is required. (Last-year Student. Advanced degree / Major in business, maths, economics, or finance considered an advantage).
· Good analytical and quantitative capabilities to calculate shares and floats.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office desirable. Advanced Excel skills helpful. Ability to demonstrate use of Excel functionality such as v look-up, pivot tables, and conditional “if” statements frequently used to build portfolio models considered an advantage.
